Peter Gill

Peter Gill

Managing director

Peter studied graphic design at Cardiff College of Art. Prior to setting up Peter Gill & Associates in 1981, he was a founding director of Design Systems and head of graphics at BBC Wales television. At Peter Gill & Associates, Peter is responsible for leading the teams of project managers, graphic and multimedia designers and programmers. He has won a number of design awards and his work has been published in Design Week, Graphis Magazine, Graphis annuals, D&AD annuals and the Sunday Times Magazine. His work is also represented in permanent collections including: the National Museum of Wales and the National Library of Wales. Peter is a member of the Design and Art Directors Association, where he has served as a jury member and a Fellow of the Chartered Society of Designers.

Jason Gill

Jason Gill

Account director

Jason worked in advertising agency McCann Erickson London for 5 years as a copywriter. Whilst there he worked on major consumer brands in radio, television and print advertising. Jason won awards for his campaigns for Bacardi, Nescafe and Microsoft. He joined Peter Gill & Associates in 2002 and has been overseeing accounts for a variety of clients from major public sector organisations to small start ups. As well as experience in the print and branding Jason also offers a valuable creative insight for clients

Marie Thomas

Marie Thomas

Account executive

Marie has a background in design agency administration and account management. Her role at PGA is account management, client contact, costing and managing projects - briefs and quotations, reviews and production, timetables and progress reports. Marie has a considerable amount of experience in design and production management.

Vanessa Kilcoyne

Vanessa Kilcoyne

Marketing executive

Vanessa has experience in marketing communications, market research, publishing and event management. Before joining PGA she worked in a marketing role at a law firm based in Bristol, providing market research and marketing support to the firm. At PGA Vanessa works with the publishing team, developing strategies for a range of titles; working with researchers, photographers, editors, writers, distributors and sales teams. Vanessa manages sales promotions and marketing support materials and distribution for publications.

Emily Moores

Emily Moores

Account executive

Emily is a Business Studies graduate from the University of Glamorgan. Before joining PGA, Emily worked for Stratstone Jaguar as a Marketing Executive for five years, where she organised and implemented a number of successful events, advertising and promotional campaigns.
At PGA Emily provides support for a number of clients, carrying out project management, working on design briefs and creative proposals, managing budgets and quotations.

Tim Whalley

Tim Whalley

Interactive account executive

Tim has a background in marketing starting at the Welsh Development Agency where he worked on branding and procurement. He then went on to work for a Cardiff based event management company where he delivered high profile events for clients such as Audi, City Lofts and Atradius. Tim brings an enthusiastic and creative approach to any project that he delivers with a strong focus on the client. He has also gained a very good understanding of the interactive side to PGA and oversees the smooth running of all the digital and multi media accounts.

Steve Hall

Steve Hall

Senior designer

Steve worked in London and the Thames Valley as a junior designer and joined PGA in 1998. He has designed a number of high profile projects, including the visitor centre for the National Assembly for Wales, where he worked on the design of the exhibition area at the Pierhead Building, illustrating the history and process of the new Welsh Assembly Government. He worked on the Tolpuddle Martyrs Museum in Dorset, designing a series of ‘sail banners’ and interactive touch screens.  Steve brings intelligence and creativity to his work, and is just at home designing graphics for exhibitions and brands as he is with publications and literature systems. Steve takes a particular interest in photography and typography.

Diana Edwards

Studio manager

After graduating from Swansea University in Graphic Design, Diana worked with several design agencies in London and the South East before returning to work with PGA in Cardiff. A very experienced and capable senior designer, Diana works with a team of designers at PGA planning and managing design and publishing projects.

David Williams

David Williams

Senior graphic designer

David graduated from DeMonfort University in graphic design. David’s role is to manage the design and production process as head of design technology at PGA and to supervise designer’s techniques. He makes sure documents are set up according to industry standards and that there are no surprises when the files get to the client, printer or publisher. His responsibilities include checking all documents before they are processed for final pre-press proofs, checking digital proofs, and making sure colour is reproduced to quality standards.

Kate Lloyd

Senior graphic designer

Kate joined us directly from Glamorgan University with an impressive design portfolio. She works on educational and cultural projects, designing publications, literature, direct mail, exhibitions and advertising. Kate has worked on the brand identity and literature system design for the National Library of Wales – giving the library a new and coordinated look across all its literature and marketing materials.  She brings an enthusiastic and innovative approach to her work and isn’t afraid to experiment with new techniques and styles.

Kelly King

Kelly King

Senior graphic designer

Kelly worked in London designing identities for film festivals and restaurants before moving back to Wales to join PGA. Kelly is a fluent Welsh speaker, and works on arts marketing projects, designing advertising, literature, publications, direct mail and online communications such as e-flyers. Kelly enjoys creating digital paintings. As a senior designer Kelly works closely with the project manager and clients, defining communication goals and project briefs. Kelly’s role is to develop design concepts, direct photography and illustration work and manage the design process with her team through to proofs ready for production.

Joana Rodrigues

Joana Rodrigues

Graphic designer

Joana is a graduate of Fine Art from Lisbon University. She later moved to Cardiff where she worked as a freelance illustrator before joining PGA as a designer. Joana has worked on exhibitions and branding for clients such as the National Botanic Gardens and the Welsh Assembly Government. An experienced publications designer, Joana has worked on major productions such as the ‘Visit Wales Guide’ which is published in several languages including French, Spanish, German and Dutch.

Ann Sneddon

Ann Sneddon

Graphic and interactive designer

Ann is a talented designer in both web and print. Having previously worked for the BBC and the Welsh Assembly Government, developing educational and Learning websites, she now applies her experience to the design of educational and cultural projects, publications, literature, websites and interactive applications. Ann assists in all bilingual projects for her expertise as a fluent Welsh speaker. Ann’s enthusiasm and ‘think outside the box’ approach to design always brings fresh ideas to the table.

Nerys Douch

Graphic designer

Nerys is a graduate of Gloucester University in graphic design and communications. She has a real passion for design, typography and photography. Nerys has worked in television and film media, designing broadcast graphics for S4C programmes Wedi 3 and Wedi 7.

Ronan Donohoe

Senior web developer

Ronan is a masters graduate in multimedia from the University of Glamorgan. Before joining PGA he set up an online recruitment web site and internet cafe. Ronan’s responsibilities are for web and interactive projects; programming and coding web sites, managing hosting services and domain registrations.

David White

David White

Web developer

David’s responsibilities are for web and interactive design; producing concepts and developing the look and feel of sites, programming and coding and providing customer training and support. He is a specialist in Flash animation and is very keen on developing well designed, user friendly web sites.

Cheryl Williams

Cheryl Williams

Web designer

Cheryl is a highly capable graphic and web designer working on literature, brochures and identities. She has accomplished an excellent portfolio of new media and interactive design projects. Cheryl has excellent Illustrator and Photoshop skills, which she continues to develop to drive her creativity along with current trends. She works closely with senior developers, project managers and clients in designing and producing materials for web, DVDs, and other interactive mediums.

Geraint Llewellyn

Web developer

Before joining PGA he worked as a freelance interactive designer for BBC television. Geraint’s responsibilities are for web and interactive projects; programming and coding web sites, managing hosting services, domain registrations, network and email services and customer support. He is a specialist in 3D modeling for developing visuals for exhibition stands and signage systems.

Jennifer Watts

Jennifer Watts

Administration

Jennifer is a graduate of English from the University of Wales, Aberystwyth. She worked for the NHS before moving to PGA. Jennifer looks after the administration for the company as well as providing support on projects. She brings an organised approach and keen eye for detail to the company.

Lisa Martin

Lisa has a varied background having worked for P&O and Siemens before coming to work for PGA in 2006. Lisa role now is to run the finance department.
